Dear God,
You come to us in Jesus who teaches us that the way to happiness is through our love for one another.
Watch over the teachers, students and families of Sacred Heart Cathedral School as we try to be faithful to this teaching.
Help us to be a welcoming and joyful community, so that others may come to know your love and peace.
We ask this through Jesus Christ our Lord,
Amen.

We welcome back Mary (Room 3) and Matthew (Room 6) who have returned our school on Monday 12 August and we welcome Yizheng (Room 7) who joined our school on Tuesday 13 August. We hope you will make the most of your time at our school and that you make lifelong friends.
Please join us on the Feast of the Assumption at 12.10 pm mass at the Cathedral Parish tomorrow, Thursday, 15th August.
We are blessed to be a part of your child's educational and spiritual journey. Have a wonderful week.

Keeping Your Contact Details Updated
Please email office@sacred-heart.school.nz to update us if your contact information changes, including your address, phone number (home or mobile), child's doctor's information (name and medical centre), and emergency contact person other than the child's parents. Let's work on punctuality. School starts at 8.40 am.
We open the doors at 8.10 am - a little earlier if it is cold and wet.
1. Regular attendance at school helps build and maintain a child's learning and positive daily habits and routines, as well as promote their well-being by connecting them to their peers and learning new things.
2. We want our tamariki to thrive and be resilient and active members within their whānau and community.
3. Attendance matters and we can all work together to increase school attendance.

St Mary's College Business Cooking Experience
We are a year 13 Young Enterprise business group from St Mary's (the college next door). As part of our business studies, we have made an educational cooking kit for kids aged 7-13 to create their own healthy bliss balls by following online animated instructions. The animations teach the kids how to chop, mix, and roll the balls.
