Weekly Update From Bernadette Murfitt
Kia ora koutou e te whānau,
We have had a wonderful year -thank you so much for your ongoing support.
We wish all of our Year 8 students all the very best as they move on to college. This group of students has been an delightful cohort and have been wonderful role models to our younger students.
To those students who are leaving Sacred Heart Cathedral School for various reasons moving within New Zealand, moving overseas or moving to another school we hope that you take many of your wonderful learnings to your new school.
Special thanks to our amazing whānau who support us in so many ways. Together, we make a real difference for all involved in our school.
We are very blessed at Sacred Heart Cathedral School with the incredible staff team. I am so grateful to our staff who provide so many rich learning experiences and excite students about learning. To the staff at Sacred Heart Cathedral School thank you for bringing the curriculum alive for our students.
To our Trustees, who work so hard for the good of all. We are all grateful for the special and unique way you govern our school.
Blessings to you all during the festive season. Please have a well-earned break over Summer and we look forward to seeing you after the break.
School starts on Thursday, 30th January 2025 at 8.40 AM.
I am still awaiting the two dates from the Ministry of Education as to when school will be closed as staff learn about the new structured Maths curriculum. I will let you know as soon as this is confirmed.
Have a very happy and holy Christmas. Spend quality time with whānau and friends and make sure you take time out for yourselves.
Take care.
Arohanui,
