Sacred Heart Krispy Kremes (Year 7/8 Div 2) vs Rockets lost 30-37.

NETBALL:

Special congratulations to all who played on the weekend. Grading games can be soul-destroying especially when the team is not in the right grade. All credit to our Sacred Heart Cathedral School students who showed grit and determination. We are so proud of you all.

Sacred Heart Angels (Year 5/6 C) - An amazing 25-2 win against Island Bay Marama. Some fantastic defence and excellent work feeding the ball into the circle. Player of the day was Kaatia (Room 5) for great attack work and shooting. Special mention to Lila Rose (Room 7) for superb intercepts on defence!

Sacred Heart Ferns (Year 5/6 E) - A hard-fought game this weekend against Berhampore School who won 7-0. Player of the day was Frankie (Room 5).

Sacred Heart Ace (Year 7/8 B) - Great game team Ace! Won 20-4 vs Hataitai.  Another game which shows that you are constantly improving. When we played Hataitai 5 weeks ago they won 11-9. Congratulations to our player of the day Alyssa (Room 8) for great shooting, intercepts and amazing team work, always supporting your team.

Sacred Heart Shooting Stars (Year 7/8 C) played St Marks Stars, lost 0 - 24. Despite another tough opponent, the team played some great netball - they really found their stride through centre court this week, getting some great turnover of the ball and worked so well as a team. Player of the Day went to Amelia, Room 10, who showed amazing skill swapping between A and D as needed and getting some great tips to the ball to regain possession.
No games this week as it is Matariki. Competition rounds start when we get back from the School Holidays.
INTERZONE CROSS COUNTRY:
Congratulations to the students who were selected to represent the school in this event last Thursday, on this cold, wet day! Participants were: Shenaya (Room 5), Violet (Room 5), Sophia D (Room 6), Archie (Room 6), Jiezl (Room 7), Janiva (Room 10) and Enrico (Room 8). The children gave it their all and cheered each other on with enthusiasm. Well done to Enrico (Room 8) who has qualified for the next stage - Regional Cross Country. We are so proud of all of you. A special thank you to Adele who transported the children to the venue and back to the school.
