BASKETBALL:

Sacred Heart Ruamoko (Year 5/6 Div 1) vs Kilbirnie Hornets lost 30-40. Player of the day was Harley (Room 6).

Sacred Heart Tangaroa (Year 5/6 Div 5) vs SFDS Holy Hot ShotzIt was another exciting game for the Tangaroas. A close loss of 16-24. Joint players of the day were Charlie (Room 5) for his strong defence and rebounding skill and Fletcher (Room 7) for his fast breaks dribbling down the court and great shooting.

Sacred Heart Tawhirimatea (Year 5/6 Girls) vs Holy Cross Green and went down 15-24. Player of the day was Lila Rose (Room 7) for great one on one defence. Special mention to Azaria (Room 7) for showing great resilience on the court.

Sacred Heart Dunkin' Donuts (Year 7/8 Div 6) played an amazing game against the Brooklyn Ballers with lots of energy, confidence and great teamwork. They had lots of scoring opportunities with a very close game and almost won with Micaiah (Room 8) as the player of the day. Final score was 22-26.

Sacred Heart Krispy Kremes (Year 7/8 Div 2) vs Seatoun Bulls lost 24-42. Player of the day was Quinn (Room 9) for his great effort on defence, rebounding, ball passing and scoring. Excellent around play!

Thank you to Mrs Murfitt, Ms Ryan and Mrs Woodbury who came to watch and support the basketball games.

NETBALL:

Sacred Heart Angels (Year 5/6 C) vs Brooklyn Ninjas won 23-0. Brooklyn put up a good fight in the last quarter, but the Angels were just too strong in the last 3 quarters of the game. Player of the day was Lila Rose (Room 7) for great play in centre. Special mention to Harper (Room 7) for awesome communication and defence!

Sacred Heart Ferns (Year 5/6 E) vs Miramar Central Kauri lost 1-13. Player of the day was Margaux (Room 6) for her work in centre, both defensively and on attack.

Sacred Heart Ace (Year 7/8 B) vs EBIS Whetu won 11-7. Well done Team Ace! We played them 1st game this season and lost 4-8 which shows your hard work and improvement from practice! Congratulations to our player of the day, Paige (Room 9) for awesome feeding to shooters and balancing the circle well and being an amazing team player on the sideline positively supporting your team!

Sacred Heart Shooting Stars (Year 7/8 C) played Scots: SC Tui and lost 11-19.  The team played really well - Scot’s got 6 points ahead quickly and we did well to hold them off for the rest of the game with strong play through the mid-court and into goal. Player of the day went to Scarlett (Room 10) for awesome shooting and movement in the goal circle.
