A Camp Reflection

Camp Review

By Jack T. (Room 8)

Hi! I’m Jack and today I'm going to talk about camp.

We went to Camp Kaitoke, a camp in the bush surrounded by farms filled with sheep and cows.

Now, what you really want to hear the activities, we had Outdoor Cooking, Rock Climbing, Archery, Kayaking, Orienteering and Giant swing, probably my favorite activity partly because of my own experience, partly the teachers and parents. They were the laughing stock of the kids whooshing through the air singing a melody of screams. My favorite was Ms. Ryan (My mum) as she couldn’t even open her eyes on the way up.

Finally my favorite part… The food! It was surprisingly good compared to my other camps. We got nachos, roast, wraps, sausage and bread and toast and cereal for breakfast. My favorite being the roast as the potatoes were so crispy they were practically chips.

I have a few tips for anyone else going to camp in the future: Don’t overpack, bring a camera if you're allowed to, bring snacks such as Skittles (Don’t tell Mr Sah) and get to sleep better than my cabin did.

Overall, it was a great camp excluding the smell of deodorant in my room and I’d give it a 4.5/5 stars. Why is it not a 5? Because I wish I could've been there for longer.
