Weekly Update from Bernadette Murfitt
Kia ora koutou e te whānau,
Where has the term gone?
Thank you very much for all the support you have given us since starting our school year. We also have so many exciting plans for next term, Thanks to Sue Cranney and Adele, who have been working on an amazing Readathon project together. As a school, we believe that instilling a love of reading gives every child a head start on expanding their vocabulary and knowledge. Reading also helps our children to make sense of the world around them while building social, emotional, and imaginative skills.
Palm Sunday during assembly - Thank you to Room 7 for their dramatic portrayal of Palm Sunday, which helped us understand the final week of Jesus' life.
The students gathered together into our four house groups and completed an amazing visual outlining our school values.
Seniors Camp - Special thanks to Julius, Anna, Hannah, and all our amazing parent helpers who supported our students with an amazing outdoor experience. The camp was fabulous we are so lucky to have such a great facility close to our school that is reasonably priced and has great activities and good food. Having a camp at this time of the year helps to extend friendships while encouraging socialisation skills as students are pushed out of their comfort zone.
Thank you to our school community who have been so supportive of camp fundraising activities.
