The Kaitiaki Team is a group of Middle Syndicate students who give their time each week to care for the school and the school environment. The students have made a huge contribution to the reduction of rubbish in and around our school environment. Each day, they tidy up after lunch and check for rubbish, they have put a composting system in place so that each class can compost food waste rather than throw it out. All the schools recycling is managed by them each week and their Trash Free Tuesday initiative was a real success.

On Monday (4th December), we gathered as a group to do a final activity together. Our focus over the past 2 terms has been to reduce rubbish around the school so it seemed fitting to spend some time making wax sandwich wrappers to use instead of plastic bags or wrap! What a great group they have been!
