Weekly Update From Bernadette Murfitt
Kia ora koutou e te whānua.
I hope you have had a wonderful week.
It has been so fantastic seeing our students get fit for their cross country and play a variety of sports over the past few weeks.
Fitness and moving the body is so good for our wellbeing. I really enjoyed watching our basketballers in action over at The Akau Tangi Sports Centre (ASB Centre). The students could all see the benefits of working together, having a standard of skill level and the importance of fitness. Thank you to Mrs Stephen who has organised the teams for us and to the wonderful group of parents on the sideline who coach, manage, score and cheer the children. Dealing with the highs and lows of what happens within a game is all part of the lifelong skill of resilience. Sport is such an amazing avenue to develop this very important competency.
Cardinal John and Bishop Paul:
I have sent both Cardinal John and Bishop Paul a card and a small gift on behalf of our school community (Cardinal John a voucher and Bishop Paul a Parker Pen). Cardinal John has left a wonderful legacy across our Archdiocese and Bishop Paul is ready to take up the challenge of his new role.
We wish both Cardinal John and Bishop Paul all the very best with their new endeavors.
Wishing all of our Mums, Grandmas, Aunties and special women in our lives a wonderful day of celebration and treats.
Blessings to you all.
Wharewaka Tours:
Tia from the Wharewaka made the following comment through email after our middle syndicate's recent visit.
Have a blesseed week.
From A Very Proud Principal,
