Dear God,
You come to us in Jesus who teaches us that the way to happiness is through our love for one another.
Watch over the teachers, students and families of Sacred Heart Cathedral School as we try to be faithful to this teaching.
Help us to be a welcoming and joyful community, so that others may come to know your love and peace.
We ask this through Jesus Christ our Lord,
Amen.
Weekly Update from Bernadette Murfitt
Kia ora koutou e te whānau,
We have had a fantastic start to the term and have appreciated some of the beautiful Winter sunny days we had last week.
Special welcome back to Noah B (Room 9) to our school community. You are going to have a wonderful time at our school and meet new lifelong friends.
Please encourage your child to wear their jersey and bring a black jacket as the weather is pretty changeable. Also, your child must bring their own water bottle to keep hydrated during the day.
Our students will attend the 12.10pm Parish Mass on the 15th August to celebrate the Feast of the Assumption - you are most welcome to join us.
We are looking forward to seeing Grandparents next week at our Liturgy. Unfortunately, we cannot use the Cathedral because some temporary work is being done internally, so we are grateful for the use of St Mary's College Hall. There will be limited parking available at school.
Have a wonderful joyful week. Thank you for all that you do for our school.
Arohanui,
Bernadette Murfitt

Aroha mai,

20 Year 5 and 6 students spent Monday at Ākau Tangi participating in Winter Festival. It was a fabulous day of team activities run by Wellington East Girls College. Our students represented us beautifully and individual awards were earned for fair play by Harley and Kobe-Max of Room 6 and Dana of Room 7. We were thrilled to be chosen to receive the Team Spirit award as well. Ngā mihi to the parent helpers who helped us have such a successful day.
