Bernadette's End of Year Mass Slideshow
Thank you to all families who helped us put the chairs away at the end of the Mass. Much appreciated.
Dear God,
You come to us in Jesus who teaches us that the way to happiness is through our love for one another.
Watch over the teachers, students and families of Sacred Heart Cathedral School as we try to be faithful to this teaching.
Help us to be a welcoming and joyful community, so that others may come to know your love and peace.
We ask this through Jesus Christ our Lord,
Amen.
Tammy's ICAS Science Gold Medal
Last weekend Tammy and her mother travelled up to Auckland for Tammy to receive her ICAS medal which she was awarded for achieving the highest score for Year 5 ICAS Science. Congratulations Tammy!
In Term 3, we were given a task of producing a movie about how we need to communicate more. At first, we struggled with the storyline but once we figured it out, the next struggle was find actors. We held auditions for the roles. Then, we began shooting the scenes. We then edited all the clips together (which took a very long time). This task required a lot of focus, perseverance and team work so we hope you enjoy it.
Summer Football:
Sacred Heart Strikers played Otari Taniwha and won 2-0. Player of the Day was awarded to Connor (non SHCS player).
Sacred Heart Tigers played Titans and won 3-1. Player of the Day was awarded to Javi Rm 3.
Touch Results:
The Juniors braved the elements and had a wonderful time out at Aotea Lagoon last Thursday. Special thanks to all of our wonderful families who supported Sue, Sarah, Kate, Frances, Natalie and Rachel in keeping our students safe and ensuring pleasure and enjoyment levels were at 100%.

Our Middle School particiapted in the Te Papa Outreach Programme. Our students learnt about Earthquake encounters through Mindcraft.

The Middle Syndicate had an enjoyable picnic up at the playground in the Botanical Gardens. We are so lucky to have such a beautiful recreational space on our doorstep.

Thank you to all the parents/caregivers who helped out last Friday in making our School Disco 2019 a success!
