Weekly Update from Bernadette Murfitt
Dear Parents/Caregivers,
Special thanks to John Grevatt, Jared and Freddy who are coaching our children for touch rugby. Thank you for you time in helping our players get better with their ball skills and making decisions under pressure. I was so impressed with the level of fitness shown, looping, quick passing and running straight.
Thanks also to the Stirling Family who donated a piano key board to our school.
Performance Group at Mt. Cook School
This Sunday is the first Sunday of Advent.
This Sunday's Prayer
Lord our God, as we begin this Advent season may your Spirit make us alive to Jesus’ presence: in his coming over 2000 years ago, to his coming at the end of time, and to his presence today in our family and friends, our works and our loves. May we know his intimate love deep in our hearts and may our lives show to the world that he still is "God-with-us.” Amen.
Special thanks for returning raffle butts and money. These are due this Friday, 29 November.
Have a great week, thanks for all your ongoing support.
Arohanui,
Bernadette Murfitt
Principal
Sacred Heart Cathedral School
Dear God,
You come to us in Jesus who teaches us that the way to happiness is through our love for one another.
Watch over the teachers, students and families of Sacred Heart Cathedral School as we try to be faithful to this teaching.
Help us to be a welcoming and joyful community, so that others may come to know your love and peace.
We ask this through Jesus Christ our Lord,
Amen.
Our school is part of the Wellington Catholic School Kahui Ako. Bernadette is the Co-Leader and Clare Hewson is our Within School Leader. We are really proud of our achievements this year.
