Weekly Update from Bernadette Murfitt
Dear Parents/Caregivers,
A special welcome to Atlas who started at our school on Monday. You are embarking on a wonderful time of learning and can look forward to making lifelong friends at our school.
Our Positive Behaviour Programme is based on Safety, Respect and Responsibility. As a school team we focus on having clear expectations and supporting our students with social and emotional skills to help improve self control. Please see below our school wide Positive Behaviour Plan.
Special thanks to Judy (Lana's Grandma) who sewed new elastic on to our Kapa Haka headbands - much appreciated.
The weather has been changeable. Please ensure your child has a sunhat and a warm coat for the variation in temperature.
Arohanui,
Bernadette Murfitt
Principal, Sacred Heart Cathedral School
A Reflection from Father James
I give glory to your name, O God.
I thank you that I am part of your wonderful creation.
Amen.
Dear God,
You come to us in Jesus who teaches us that the way to happiness is through our love for one another.
Watch over the teachers, students and families of Sacred Heart Cathedral School as we try to be faithful to this teaching.
Help us to be a welcoming and joyful community, so that others may come to know your love and peace.
We ask this through Jesus Christ our Lord,
Amen.
