Dear God,
You come to us in Jesus who teaches us that the way to happiness is through our love for one another.
Watch over the teachers, students and families of Sacred Heart Cathedral School as we try to be faithful to this teaching.
Help us to be a welcoming and joyful community, so that others may come to know your love and peace.
We ask this through Jesus Christ our Lord,
Amen.
Weekly Update from Bernadette Murfitt
Kia ora koutou e te whānau,
The term is getting away from us. What is happening inside classrooms is exciting. The students are loving the futsal that we are having at the moment. When the weather wasn't being kind we were able to relocate under Te Kohunga. Futsal is covered by the trips and activity payment.
Keep your children reading at home every day. The benefits will have a flow-on effect to all areas of the curriculum.
We welcome Soana (Room 1) to Sacred Heart Cathedral School. You are going to love your time here and will make lifelong friends.
We were delighted to receive our "Confirmed Report" from the Education Review Office. This report really does highlight our highly effective Board of Trustees, the amazing staff, incredible students and a community who wrap us all in love and faith.
Last week, we celebrated our amazing support staff team. Cathy, Frances, Rachel, Alison, and Robyn all who go above and beyond for the learning programmes that we deliver at school. We are so fortunate to have these wonderful women at our school.
Please make sure you reach out to your child's teacher if anything is bothering you about school.
Today, Julius, Kate and myself are in Norsewood with the Ministry of Education Positive Behaviour for Learning team.
Thank you for the generous way you give to our community. We are all blessed.
Have a lovely week ahead.
Arohanui,
Bernadette Murfitt

Last week, 12th-16th May, we were 90.78%.
