Dear God,
You come to us in Jesus who teaches us that the way to happiness is through our love for one another.
Watch over the teachers, students and families of Sacred Heart Cathedral School as we try to be faithful to this teaching.
Help us to be a welcoming and joyful community, so that others may come to know your love and peace.
We ask this through Jesus Christ our Lord,
Amen.

Kia ora koutou e te whānau,
Welcome back to term 4, the last term of 2023 - where has the year gone?
I hope you have all had a well-earned break and managed to have time with friends and yourself.
Welcome to Jaiden and Sam who have returned to Sacred Heart Cathedral School. We also welcome Jacob, Micaiah, Abbie, Aeva and Ethan who are new families to Sacred Heart Cathedral School. You are all going to love being a part of this special Catholic community.
Special thanks to Gabrielle and the Parents and Friends team who organized a fantastic adult quiz last term. It was such a great night and the things our whānau knew was incredible.
Next Monday, 16th October is our Grandparents Liturgy. The Liturgy will be in St Mary's College Hall and will start at 1.00pm. Our Grandparents are such special people. I see many come into our school and shower their grandchildren with love. May the Grandparents at Sacred Heart Cathedral School all live a very long, happy and healthy life.
Middle syndicate practising athletic skills at Anderson Park on Tuesday morning.

Year 8 Leavers Dinner 2023
Our two senior basketball teams competed at the Akau Tangi Sports Centre on Wednesday, September 20th, the final day of Term 3. St Mark's Whitu defeated the Sacred Heart Falcons in the Division 2 match 20–28. While the Division 1 match between the Sacred Heart Eagles and Kahurangi Ra, which was vying for the 1st place lost 45-48. During the game, the scores were very close to one another, and the crowds at both schools were really loudly supporting their respective teams. Although the Eagles lost, it was still an incredible game to see in terms of defence, offence, and steals. Congratulations on our two senior basketball teams! We really appreciate the parents who give their child and the game such strong support.
Sacred Heart Eagles - Antonio, Cayden, Jonfred, Joshua, Lothar, Marcus and Taitum.
Sacred Heart Falcons - Aisha-Jadah, Ana, Ezra, James, Nina, Ruby and Xavier.
