Kia ora.
I hope you are all having a restful break.
We are looking forward to an action-packed term of learning and fun.
Wishing you all a very special time on Friday as we mark and celebrate Matariki. For our Māori ancestors Matariki is a time to remember those loved ones who have passed, share kai with whānau, and plan for the future. We will have a special Matariki Liturgy on Monday, 17th July at 1pm.
Ka mahuta a Matariki i te pae, ka mahuta ō tātou tūmanako ki te tau. When Matariki rises above the horizon, our aspirations rise to the year ahead.
We are looking for parent help for the Senior Trip to Parliament (please look out for an email from Julius) and those students who are in the Kapa Haka Performance Group going to Spark we need the Google form filled out before we head down to Spark on Wednesday to share Waiata with Spark employees. We would also appreciate a couple of parents to walk down to Spark with us. We will leave school at 10.10am and will return at about midday. Please email suec@sacred-heart.school.nz if you can assist us.
For any uniform requirements, please check out our second hand at school. Lots of socks, shirts, and shorts for boys and blouses for girls or head down to NZ uniform on Thorndon Quay.
Looking forward to seeing all of our team and students at 8.40am on Monday, 17th July.
Blessings to you all.
