We are reviewing our emergency procedures.

If you have not downloaded SchoolAppsNZ (free app) onto your mobile phone, please do so. Go to the App Store on your Apple or Adroid device and search 'SchoolAppsNZ' to download the app onto your device. Then search 'Sacred Heart Cathedral School' to find your school's app. Once you have downloaded the app, you can customize the alerts that you receive from us by clicking on the 'Alert Subscriptions' from the drop down menu, then tick the corresponding house, classroom and year level that your child is in. The school uses this app to send out reminders and to communicate with our parents in the event of an emergency.

On Monday, 26 June at 9.30am, we will be sending out an ‘emergency test’ communication to all our parents via email and SchoolApps. We need to know if you DO NOT receive this ‘emergency test’ communication. Please email office@sacred-heart.school.nz if you DID NOT received our ‘emergency test’ communication at 9.30am on Monday, 26 June.

We will let our parents know that we will be running this test on Monday, 26 June through 3 different modes of communication:

1. A special school newsletter (this one)

2. An email from the school to all parents

3. A notification from SchoolApps

The school has detailed emergency plans in place and we are also checking our parent contact database. During the Mid Year reporting session, teachers will be handing out emergency contact details to parents for them to check and update if necessary.

It is very important that you contact the school if you do not receive the ‘emergency test’ communication on Monday, 26 June at 9.30am, as this will allow us to update our database.
