Welcome Back - School is Back on Wednesday (26th April)
Morena whānau.
I hope you have all had a wonderful Easter and holiday break and are all feeling refreshed to start our new term.
I had a wonderful break. I went through the middle of Australia by train stopping off at many different places. Uluru (Ayers Rock) was an absolute highlight such an amazing spiritual place.
Yesterday, I was way out of my comfort zone as I presented to an online conference about what has improved with our Catholic Kahui Ako and how do we know. It is a good reminder for me to be in a learning situation by using technology and talking at the same time.
Just a few reminders to start the term.
Students return to school on Wednesday, 26th of April. The bell will ring at 8.40am.
Please note it is a staff-only Ministry of Education Refreshed New Zealand Curriculum professional development day on Monday. St Teresa's School, St Benedicts School, and Cardinal McKeefry School will join us at Sacred Heart Cathedral School as we learn together about implementing our Refreshed Curriculum.
Term 2 is a Winter Uniform term. Items can be purchased from NZ Uniforms down on Thorndon Quay or you can purchase a tie from the school for $15.00 (we do have limited stock). We also have a good supply of second-hand uniform which is available to be taken and used.
Classrooms are all spotless and the staff has all put lots of deep thinking into the design of their term 2 learning programmes.
I look forward to seeing all of our students on Wednesday.
Take care and blessings to you all.
