Dear God,
You come to us in Jesus who teaches us that the way to happiness is through our love for one another.
Watch over the teachers, students and families of Sacred Heart Cathedral School as we try to be faithful to this teaching.
Help us to be a welcoming and joyful community, so that others may come to know your love and peace.
We ask this through Jesus Christ our Lord,
Amen.
Weekly Update from Bernadette Murfitt
Kia ora koutou e te whānau,
We had such a wonderful day at the beach last Thursday. Great students + amazing staff+ best group of whānau + a beautiful windless day = the best beach day!
Thank you to everyone who came and supported us. It was such an enjoyable day. The children had so much fun in the water and playing on the beach. Days like this are only possible with all the amazing planning from the Sacred Heart Cathedral School team and all the support we were given. Thank you all so much.
We welcome Aliyah in Room 1 who started on Monday. You will have a great time here at Sacred Heart and will make lifelong friends.
To our students and families who are leaving us thank you for all the contributions, you have all made to our school. We are all blessed.
Ann Stephen will be taking Refreshment leave in 2023 . We wish her a wonderful time as she travels and spends time with her family and friends.
Kia kaha to you all. You are taonga. All the best for the festive season. Have a wonderful holiday break. Hapaitia te ara tika pumau ai te rangatiratanga mo ngā uri whakatipu.

What a wonderful celebration it was down at Parliament for our Rugby World Cup Winners the Black ferns. Despite being well hydrated and all wearing sunhats, it was an absolute scorcher.
The children cheered on the amazing Black Ferns. Staff were incredibly proud of all of our students as we cheered on the World Cup winners.
