Dear God,
You come to us in Jesus who teaches us that the way to happiness is through our love for one another.
Watch over the teachers, students and families of Sacred Heart Cathedral School as we try to be faithful to this teaching.
Help us to be a welcoming and joyful community, so that others may come to know your love and peace.
We ask this through Jesus Christ our Lord,
Amen.
Weekly Update from Bernadette Murfitt
Dear Parents/Caregivers,
We had a stunning Liturgy to celebrate how precious Grandparents are in the lives of our beautiful children.

We also had an Assembly last Monday and Room 2 hosted the event.

This term all classes have participated in Football in Schools which Wellington Olympic AFC has delivered. This brilliant programme has undoubtedly inspired our students and football skills have greatly improved. The tutors were great role models for our students and many were ex-St Patricks College students.
Congratulations to all students who participated in Mathswell last night out at HIBS. We are very grateful to Jonathan who prepared the students for advanced problem-solving while competing under pressure.
Wishing all our Dads, Grandads, Uncles and significant male role models a wonderful day this Sunday.
If you have any concerns about your child's learning, please contact your child's classroom teacher.
Thank you for all the amazing support you all give our school.

Middle Syndicate (Room 5, 6 & 7) Trip on 5th and 6th September
Tēnā koutou,
The Middle Syndicate will be visiting the Wellington Museum of City and Sea on the 5th and 6th of September. We will be learning about the creation of Te Whanganui-a-Tara and hearing the stories about the city we live in.
We will be walking both ways so students will require warm, waterproof coats to combat the weather. Rooms 5, 6 and 7 will be travelling to and from the museum at different times and each class will require parent helpers.
Please click on the form relating to your child's class to provide your permission for your child to attend and to let us know if you can help.
Ngā mihi nui,
Kate Woodbury, Hannah Purser and John Grevatt
