Kia ora e te whānau
A very different Ash Wednesday for us all.
The Police Commissioner has just said 'Our message to those who do not wish to be caught up in our operation is, please go home. We will continue this operation until it is completed. And that will take as long as it takes," he told reporters at his stand-up. “When the job is done, then we will be finished.”
In consultation with the Ministry of Education and the Sacred Heart Cathedral School Board of Trustees we will be learning from home tomorrow Thursday 3rd March and Friday 4th March. ( There will be supervision at school for those students who require it.)
That should give the authorities time to sort this out before we return on Monday for face-to-face learning. We will notify you on Sunday evening of next week's plans.
Thank you for all your positive messages and everything you have done to keep our community safe.
In today's school newsletter, there is information about online learning for your child.
If your child needs supervision at school for Thursday and Friday of this week please contact me immediately.
