Dear God,
You come to us in Jesus who teaches us that the way to happiness is through our love for one another.
Watch over the teachers, students and families of Sacred Heart Cathedral School as we try to be faithful to this teaching.
Help us to be a welcoming and joyful community, so that others may come to know your love and peace.
We ask this through Jesus Christ our Lord,
Amen.

Omicron: Phase 2 - What it means?
In Phase 2, cases of Omicron have spread in the community and we need to minimise and slow further spread.
This means changes for:
- testing.
- case investigation and contact tracing.
- isolation and quarantine.
- health and social support – care in the community.
Find details about these changes on the Unite Against COVID-19 website.
Things you can do to protect yourself through all phases
- Get your COVID-19 booster shot.
- Continue to mask, scan and pass wherever you go.
- Maintain good hygiene and physical distancing.
- Stay home if unwell.
It is also recommended that 5 to 11-year-olds get immunised.
If you get COVID-19, you will need to isolate for 10 days.
If you are a household contact of someone with COVID-19, you will need to isolate for 10 days with the case and get tested on day 3 and day 8.
If you are a Close Contact, but not a household contact, you will need to isolate for 7 days and get tested on day 5.
The Ministry of Education has asked us to share the following information with you all.
‘The Big Boost’
You may be aware ‘The Big Boost’ is happening during February and everyone in Aotearoa is being asked to get their boosters as soon as they are due.
To make it easy, pop-up vaccination centres and extended opening hours are open for you to get your booster dose of the Pfizer vaccine.
If you want to know more about the booster – you can get the facts about COVID-19 vaccinations.
Who can have a booster?
Anyone in your whānau over the age of 18 and has had their second dose at least three months ago.
You can check when you are due for a booster by visiting mycovidrecord.nz or calling the Covid Vaccination Healthline on 0800 28 29 26 (8am-8pm, seven days a week).
You can book your booster at BookMyVaccine.nz or for whānau bookings call 0800 28 29 26.
