Dear God,
You come to us in Jesus who teaches us that the way to happiness is through our love for one another.
Watch over the teachers, students and families of Sacred Heart Cathedral School as we try to be faithful to this teaching.
Help us to be a welcoming and joyful community, so that others may come to know your love and peace.
We ask this through Jesus Christ our Lord,
Amen.

Weekly Update from Bernadette Murfitt
Dear Parents/Caregivers,
The staff have been completely blown away with the way the students have all embraced school life at Sacred Heart Cathedral School under RED level.
Welcome to our new student, Patelo. You are going to love your time here at Sacred Heart Cathedral School.
Special thanks to our amazing Road Patrol team and staff who are keeping everyone safe on Hill Street. Please, no U turns on Hill Street please. Stop when Road Patrol signs are out asking traffic to STOP. The British High Commission put cones out on yellow lines outside their building. We have been working hard to preserve a positive relationship with our neighbours. If Hill Street is congested a good alternative is parking on Molesworth Street and walking up into school.
We would appreciate it if you could click the google link to fill-in the Emergency and Permission Form for each child to keep our records updated.
Hard copy packs were sent home last week. Please put them in a safe place for when we might need them in the future (I am hoping we will not need to use them).
At Sacred Heart Cathedral School, we use and expect positive behaviour.
We have three key expectations around:
Respect - i.e. being a respectful person.
Responsibility - i.e. acting and behaving in a responsible way.
Safety - i.e. every student is precious and safety is a priority.
It is also expected that students who bring a cellphone to school put it in the "Phone Bag" in the classroom. Students take their own cellphone at the end of the school day. This expectation ensures that the focus at school is always on learning. Should you need to get a message to your child. Please call or email school.
Go well, stay safe. Please stay in touch. Your korero and feedback is valued and appreciated.
Arohanui,
Bernadette Murfitt
Principal
Sacred Heart Cathedral School
