Dear God,
You come to us in Jesus who teaches us that the way to happiness is through our love for one another.
Watch over the teachers, students and families of Sacred Heart Cathedral School as we try to be faithful to this teaching.
Help us to be a welcoming and joyful community, so that others may come to know your love and peace.
We ask this through Jesus Christ our Lord,
Amen.
Weekly Update from Christine Geraghty
Dear Parents/Caregivers
Special thanks to the Parents and Friends who put on the afternoon tea for the Mother's Day liturgy last week. It was great to be able to do this again.
A special welcome to Mireia who started in Room 1 yesterday. We hope you enjoy your time with us, learning and making friends.
It is good to see children settled, engaged and learning.
Thank you too to Darryl Arnold who presented a session on Reading Eggs and Mathletics for Junior and Middle parents on Thursday. Both programmes are used by teachers and can be used as homework. Thank you to Sue Cranney for organising this.
The Middle and Senior syndicates are training for the school cross country from which winners will be chosen to represent the school at the Central Zone one. There is certainly some talent and motivation evident! It is good to see students participating and regular exercise has been linked to better learning outcomes.

T1: Mechanical Movements. Making an automata
T2: Food Around the World
T3: Sewing (several choices of product available)
