Farewell to Mikhael and Raphael in Room 1 who are leaving our school tomorrow as their mum takes up a position in Rome. We are very grateful to Gejo and Shija who have been great supporters of our school. We will miss you all and wish you safe travels as you embark on a new chapter of your life.
"We say farewell to Mikhael and Raphael as they leave our school. Please entrust them into your care. We pray for happiness and joy to be ahead of them, for wisdom and guidance to be beside them and for grace and truth to be behind them, pushing them onwards to your goodness.

Feedback from our Professional Development provider
The teaching staff has been participating in professional development from Inner fit. We have been really enjoying our new approach to teaching physical education.
"I just want to take the opportunity to thank you all for your hard work, open-ness to new ideas and your friendship over the last few months. Such a growth mindset bunch of teachers! I felt very at home in Wellington with you all and am so pleased to see your growing confidence and understanding of PE taught a different way!"
Christchurch Friday 15 March - An insight from Aine
Horrific. Terrifying. Shocking. It was just a normal Friday. Get up, school, New World, mum's work. Only this time it was different. Everyone at mum's work already knew and weh mum picked up her work phone, she knew too. The tv was on and the tv was never on. In that building, every single person had eyes on a tv, everyone felt the exact same helplessness that I was feeling. All you could do was watch. Of course at the office they were having Friday night drinks to celebrate some forgotten occassion, but it had turned into more of a wake.
The next day was different. Everything was quite, but I expected more people to be dressed in black. Every single person I saw knew, we all had that same look on our face. That evening we brought flowers to the Islamic Centre. There were hundreds, possibly even thousands of flowers there. When we were there, there was a sense of hope. That everything might, at some point, be ok. Then we heard the fireworks. They sounded like gunshots, and for a second, I was terrified that something else was happening. When we got back home mum called these people disrepectful and you could see she meant it. That night I dreamed of being in the mosque. I dreamed of being more terrified than I had ever been. I dreamed of running and screaming and grabbing everyone around me. But it wasn't a dream, it was a nightmare."
