Dear God,
You come to us in Jesus who teaches us that the way to happiness is through our love for one another.
Watch over the teachers, students and families of Sacred Heart Cathedral School as we try to be faithful to this teaching.
Help us to be a welcoming and joyful community, so that others may come to know your love and peace.
We ask this through Jesus Christ our Lord,
Amen.

We are all looking forward to going down to Pipitea Marae tomorrow. We will leave school at 9.15am for an amazing cultural experience. You are welcome to join us. My sincere thanks to Rangimoeora, our Whānau, and our Kapa Haka tutors who have supported the staff and students with Marae protocol.

Sister Sassy and Sister Spoilt by Cielo Z
Sister Sassy was a spoiled brat. She was a total germaphobe, even though she had not gotten sick in her entire life! She was a good-looking girl, with straight, soft, glowing golden hair.
She had icy cold blue eyes and when you looked at her, you would have thought she was a serial killer! She always wore delicate, soft, pink dresses complete with a flowery, pastel belt.
She owned a mall, a glorious mall, with 15,000 stores. Whenever she came, she always left with’’GET ME YOUR MANAGER!’’. Yes, she was a Karen. The only thing she came to the mall for, was to buy perfume and shoes.
She had an extremely massive mansion, with an outdoor and indoor spa, as well as a kitchen with a glass table. She had a private chef and her bedroom had a four poster bed, with designer pillows and blankets and curtains that could be drawn around it. Her bathroom had a gold toilet, a silver sink and a bronze door.
Every day, Sister Sassy put on her designer perfume and lounged around in her living room, screeching at her maid and butler.
On the other hand, Sister Spoilt was a ‘Sweetie’. She had curly, short, soft pink hair and wore comfy, blue jeans and sweaters. Lots of people describe her as a “killer shark with hoop earrings!" She was distinctive, a ‘bossy boots’, miniature in size and she always stole the limelight.
For some reason, Sister Spoilt lives with Sister Sassy! Why?
Maybe because people lit her house on fire, screaming’’ YAAAAAAAAAAA!’’
Anyway, put them together plus water equals total drama!
Special thanks to our student leaders who organised a grand parade to show off our Fancy Feet. During March, we as a school try to be active and move more. We know that daily physical activity benefits our own well-being as well as being good for us physically.
