Dear God,
You come to us in Jesus who teaches us that the way to happiness is through our love for one another.
Watch over the teachers, students and families of Sacred Heart Cathedral School as we try to be faithful to this teaching.
Help us to be a welcoming and joyful community, so that others may come to know your love and peace.
We ask this through Jesus Christ our Lord,
Amen.
This was shared this morning during our staff reflection.
A great thing to do during Lent is to focus on the positive.

The students all enjoyed a concert put on by the GoodTime Music Academy last Thursday held in our outdoor classroom, Te Kohanga. The GoodTime Music Academy Bus comes to our school every Thursday afternoon to take students for music lessons. If you are interested in your child taking part in music lessons, visit their website for more information: https://www.goodtimemusicacademy.co.nz/ or collect a flyer from the office.
It was wonderful to see whānau last Friday evening at Wheels Night. The children all had a wonderful time with all their different sorts of wheels. It was also great to see whānau taking second-hand uniforms. Please help yourselves - there is lots of variety including sizes and all is in very good condition. Once again I am super grateful to our dedicated staff who were an integral part of Wheels Night.

Bon voyage Cathy - our Cathy is off overseas on long service leave with her husband visiting family and will be back at the start of June. Cathy on behalf of our school community have an amazing time and we look forward to hearing about all your travel adventures.
Please continue to communicate with us using all the usual email addresses and through school apps. Frances and I will be running the office.
Have a wonderful week and thank you for all the generous ways you support our school.

SUMMER FOOTBALL:
Sacred Heart Junior Strikers versus Firebirds - final score 2-0. An exciting win for our Junior Strikers in what has been a tough grade. All played amazing!
